Berkley Select President Dan Spragg appointed as President of Gamma Iota Sigma Board of Trustees for 2026
Spragg will assist in shaping and executing Gamma Iota Sigma’s strategic initiatives for the 2026 calendar year
Chicago, IL October 27, 2025 – Berkley Select is pleased to announce that Company President Dan Spragg has been appointed President of the Board of Trustees for Gamma Iota Sigma, an international professional fraternity dedicated to shaping the future of the insurance industry through student engagement, leadership development, and industry collaboration.
Gamma Iota Sigma leads the growth and diversification of the insurance industry’s talent pipeline through world-class programs, innovative partnerships, and expansive campus engagement. With 110 chapters nationwide and more than 5,500 members, the organization plays a vital role in promoting careers in insurance, risk management, and actuarial science.
Spragg’s appointment is effective immediately and will span a one-year term.

Spragg has represented W. R. Berkley Corporation as a member and volunteer with Gamma Iota Sigma since 2020. He previously served on Gamma Iota Sigma’s Advisory Board and continues to champion initiatives that shape the future of the profession.
Spragg joined Berkley Select as President in 2019, bringing nearly 30 years of experience in commercial insurance.
